ResponderEliminarI shall say I was completely stunned when I read the article made by Ana Garcia about Torrelodones´ local festival being something toxic and that should not take place. The article states that the festival is a place teenagers use to consume alcohol and drug themselves , and that it should stop being hosted.
ResponderEliminarI do not disagree completely , since it is true that teenagers use the festival as an excuse to drink , this should not be enough reason to shut the festival down , since it is always posible to increase the security in them , and to teach the teenagers the dangers of these kinds of substances , so they understand the risks they have and the reasons why they should not consume them.
That is just a very low percentage of the attendants , however . The incomes the festival makes whenever it is held are quite important to just stop it . And not only that, it is aswell the perfect opportunity for local shops of any kind to get advertisement , since they can host some of the souvenir shops that are in the festival .
I go to this festival every year , and must say that there are many attendants that are satisfied whenever they assist , being of any age , elderly people or children , they are all very happy with the current state of the festival . I can say that whenever I go to it , I always have a lot of fun , since the festival also hosts a lot of different activities during the days it is held . To me , this festival is great , and I invite you to attend to it next year before actually thinking it should be shut down , you will understand if you come!

ResponderEliminarI had been whatching different current news while i was preparing breakfast and i almost spilled my coffe when i saw an article that was against summer vacation.
I disagree with this option because i find that vacation is very positive mentally and fisically.
School can sometimes be very overwhealming and we just need a break, take time to ourselves, spend time with family and friends… also sometimes people that have failed take advantage from the vacation to escalate their grades. Working and studying constantly through the whole year i think would just end up making people tired and angry (everytime people are on vacation they feel happier) and also a long year of working also deserves to have time to your own personal life.
I remember how well i felt when i went on vacation with my family a few years ago, we relaxed, took walks, had good food and slept a lot, but vacation doesn´t always mean beach and party, it can be at home and with a book, vacation reminds you that you have a life besides school and grades and it makes us happier.
Lastly, i just wanted to put my opinion out there and see if someone agrees because i think this would be unacceptable if such thing happened, i have been writting for the last half an hour, i hope we raise enough votes for this not to happen.

I am going to consolidate my idea with a personal experience of the long summer holidays, last summer holidays I spent all the summer with my friends playing and having fun it was really nice, and this make me feel better than if I had been in school all the days.

The article stated that the students were eager to forget the contents studied in the course before if they had a long break in the summer , so it should be shortened , making it like the short break of winter.
ResponderEliminarI completely disagree with this article , since the summer break is one of the most important motivations a student can have when studying , I can say so because that is my main motivation , so that I can actually enjoy summer. Also , most of the students need a long break , to stop the high amount of stress they feel when classes are being held . This break is the most important thing for us students.
You may be right in the fact that students forget the contents studied in the last course , but us students enjoy summer , and we are able to remember the contents after a short week of reviewing . Summer is the joy of being free of tasks , free of class , freedom , as a whole . If you ever were a student , you should know too well this feeling of joy and freedom you get when you´re in the summer .

I´m totally against the suggestion of eliminating summer holidays for several reasons. Firstly, having vacations help students to reduce stress and disconnect from the routine of the school year. Secondly, it is believed that summer holidays aren´t useful as there is no compulsory education. However, during this time of the year youngsters practise many different activities which may provide them with useful learning. And thirdly, young people may find more interesting life lessons by learning from their own experiences rather than in a book.
Last summer vacations were memorable. In the town where I live in many activities , such as festivals or sport competitions, were performed and people of every age had lots of fun. What´s more, having such great weather, allowed us to enjoy our free time on the outside and go to many places, such as the countryside. In fact, everyone seemed to be more relaxed.
From my point of view, students need definitely summer vacations to enjoy life and meet theirselves. By eliminating these holidays youngsters will lose their interest in many things and they won´t have freedom to relax.

Firstly, I think that students need some holidays to desconect themselves, school year is long, stressful and can be in some way difficult, so when they finished it, they want to relax and enjoy a good holiday because they had been working very hard. Secondly, in my opinion, holidays help the students to come back to school with more energy and rested, that helps to get focused quickly. And thirdly, holidays can help you to know more things. For example, if you travel to other countries you will know other cultures from different places, going to museums or reading books...this can let you learn things in a different way.
Last summer I enjoyed a lot. My friends and I met a lot of times, we did different plans each time and having finished one plan, we wanted to do another. Moreover I went to see my uncles in Asturias, and we get to know lots of museums that were very nice, so I learn new things. I did lots of plans and I enjoyed very much.
In my view, holidays are necessary to desconect, get to know other things, explore, meet family and friends...but the most important one is enjoy. The disappearance of holidays, would not help students, it will be worse.

I am totally against this for several reasons. Firstly, I think that every single student has the right to disconect and relax for a period after all the stressing exams, projects and homework. Secondly, in my point of view, summer holidays can also make you learn about thinhgs, in the way of you can visit different places, go to museums, learn things with interest! Thirdly, I think students after their summer holiday they come back eith energy and ready to begin the year.
I had lots of fun in my last summer holidays. I visited new cities, hanged out with my friends, relaxed, etc...
It would be a big mistake to do such thing...

I strongly disagree with the suggestion of getting ride of summer holidays. Firstly, students should have the right to take a break from all the stressful school work. Secondly, students should also have the right to spend time with their family and friends out side the school environment. And thirdly, students have the right to have fun and not worry about their grades or school work.
When I was six years old, I remember my dad brought a tape recorder, so we could say our favourite part of the day. I still remember the whole family sitting at the dinner table and saying our favourite part of the day, my little sister would always get angry if she wasn’t the firs to talk. My older sister and I would always try to mess around with her and say we wanted to go first, and she would get very angry.
In my view, rather than being bad for the kid’s grades, it takes experiences and fun memories away from kids. Summer holidays is a must have for kids and their families.

The article suggested that the holydays make the students lose many studying time and that they do not take advantage of them, using it as a time of being with the mobile phone or with the computer.
ResponderEliminarI strongly disagree with the suggestion that there is no value in continuing the holidays. Firstly, in Spain, it is practically impossible to study or going to the high schools due to the heat that there is all over the days. Secondly, it can be used to make wonderful plans and trips that you cannot do over the school year. And thirdly, after a whole year of studying and making efforts, the students need that rest time; also I think that after that holidays, students return more motivated and with more desire of seeing their friends and that is a very positive point.
In my opinion, summer holidays are suitable for all the people of every age, because they can choose whatever they want to do, whether making a trip to another country or staying at home enjoying family and friends.
When in the long holidays I have travelled to any place I could see people having a great time and, in my point of view, that could not have been possible without the summer holidays.
In my view,long holidays are essential for everyone after a year, both, studying or working, and it would be a big mistake to abolish them, because they bring much more than they take away.

SUMMER HOLIDAYS
ResponderEliminarSummer holidays are very important for the students who are going to school and having to study the whole year. The article suggested that summer holidays are too long for students, so when they go back to school their grades are very low.
I disgree because they should have a long period of time to relax so they can disconnect. The idea of people who want to get ride of the summer holidays is not good in my opinion, because they need to understand those students have been working during the long year. Also its good to have time to be with your family, see your Friends which you haven't seen during a long period of time, going to the beach and relax with your family, visiting places which you haven't seen before, doing tourism,etc.
During the last three summers I have been enjoying a lot with my family and some fiends, my family and my friends are from Cordoba, and we have been going to Chiclana de la Frontera in Cadiz. We tried to enjoy the most time posible the beach, swimming at the sea playing a lot and the most important thing, which is being with your family. Also we tried to visit a lot of pleces and making a bit of tourism in Cadiz. During these years I have enjoyed a lot.
In my opinion summer holidays can not be taken out, because children would be more nervous if they do not have any time to relax.

A few days ago I read an article about young people holidays duration, it talked about the idea of cutting down vaccations. At a moment's notice I completely disagree and started thinking about all the benefits summer holidays have over us.
ResponderEliminarStudents pass a lot of time studying and working hard with the propouse of getting good marks and spend nice holidays; so we could say that, holidays are kind of reward to children and teens who make an effort during the year.
Vaccacions are always good news, they allow us resting and relaxing and also grant us free time for having fun and expending time with family and friends. As a lot of families do, is always a nice idea planning some interesting and interactive activities during vacations that would become nice memories to remember.
I still remember when a while back in my past holidays, I went with my family diving.
We spent seven hours on car until we arrived Almería and accomodatted in a little coastal house quite near to the sea. We passed fifteen days there, enjoying our company and the sea views from the porch. It was on a hot afernoon when my father, my sister and I decided going diving.
We dived near some rocks on he coast and saw colorful algae and corals and afer a while under the water, we distinghed some transparent fishes that were swimming incredibly near us.
It was a fascinant experience that wouldn' have been able of happening without that free days afer the course year. So, in conclusion, holidays have a significant importance for our lives and would always be necessary.

After the stress of studying for nine months, this holidays are esencial for students and teachers. Everyone need to spend time with their families as well as doing activities or hobbies that they enjoy, It is also lovely to go somewhere in vacations such as the beach or the mountain. There are many thinings and many places to explore and learn about.
I am lucky tos ay that I go somewhere on holidays every summer. A few years ago, I went to Miami in Unite State and I think those were the best summer vacations I hade ver. My family and me took a plane from Madrid to Miami and once we get there we spend two weeks in that city. After those weeks, all of us drove the entire south coast from Florida to Texas. We visited Orlando, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and New Orleans, which is in Louisiana, to finally reach Texas. The whole trip took about two months. And the reason why it was an amazing summer was that I enjoy Unite State, I learned lot of english and my family and me could have some time to rest.
Fromm y point of view, I believe that it Will be a mistake if society decided to take out summer holidays. Everybody need a rest and also have fun outside the rutine.

ResponderEliminarSummer holiday is the summer break given to the students during peak summer season in the schools every year. It gives students and adults a chance to relax or take up any hobby or activities that they were unable to do during school season.
For students, this holiday comes after the final exams so they end the up really tired. A good way to take advantage of this break would be travelling, get to know the world and do as a past time many new things like sports or any hobby like photography.
Most summers I go to Galicia with my parents to my grandmother´s house. In Madrid there are no beaches so I like to visit different beaches and explore new ones. I often enjoy to go snorkeling with my mom depending on the beach because I always find something curious and new.
